About Buck

At the end of his forty-year career in corporate America, Buck Buchanan began writing books. A storyteller who draws readers in based on his experience and interest. He has written five books and latest is his first novel, Smoke Over the Square, which is about Marietta, Georgia, during the Civil War. 

His fourth, Where’s Rick?, tells the gripping tale of a Vietnam vet's mysterious disappearance. The third book, Behind the Walls, explores a business's rise from scratch to become a $3 billion industry. His second book, The Game of Sales, is a business guide based on his sales management career. First and Thirty, his debut, centers on a 1970 Southern high school football team. 

In addition to writing, Buck is a speaker and a business consultant. Carlton “Buck” Buchanan was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta and began his career that took him from Georgia to California and back. He now lives in Marietta, GA.

In his personal life, Buck has served as a deacon and elder in the Presbyterian Church and is an active Rotarian. He enjoys sports and traveling. Buck is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have three children and five grandchildren.
