Behind the Walls is Buck’s third published book. It tells the story of the EIFS industry which he was a part of for over thirty-five years. His research for the book included talking to over one hundred people who were connected with the EIFS industry. Buck’s second book The Game of Sales is a business book based on his experience as a sales manager. It delves deeply into the business-to-business environment of sales reps and sales management. His first book was released in the fall of 2015. First and Thirty is centered on a high school football team in the south during the 1970 season. The Viet Nam War was continuing and there was social unrest in the country. The book follows the lives of the football players and their friends as they undergo the trials and tribulations of being in high school during these tumultuous years.
Carlton “Buck” Buchanan was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He received a BS Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta and began a business career that spans 40 years, including ten years in California managing a large business unit. He now lives in Marietta, GA.
In his personal life, Buck has served as a deacon and elder in the Presbyterian Church and is an active Rotarian. He enjoys sports and traveling. Buck is married to his high school sweetheart and they have three children and five grandchildren.
